YAKIMA RESERVATION HUNT
Another annual traditional hunt with plenty of promise of Quail and Pheasants....sometimes more Fellowship accompanied by filling the air with lead.  It is a 3-hour drive from Vancouver to Toppenish. Washington & Oregon Licenses do not apply, nor Hunter Safety Class requirements. Reservation Licenses can be purchased at the Gas Station on the left hand side of Hwy 97, at the first stop light after the highway turns toward Yakima. Quail Hunting along the river just east of Toppenish has been good. Pheasants are more populated along the southern side, but can be found in good cover. Mike Schell has offered to provide some guidance in finding places to hunt.
Hunters wishing to stay over or go early can find hotels in Toppenish and Yakima. The Best Western in Toppensih are &89.95 plus $20 for your dog. Motel 6 in Yakima is $56.99 and is the lowest price. There are other hotels and most accept hunting dogs for a fee. Super 8 and Comfort Inn are closest and are less than Toppenish.
