Southwest Washington Chapter

The Southwest Washington Chapter 716 of Pheasants Forever consists of approximately 200 members and
is one of eleven chapters in the state. We are dedicated to the goal of upland
habitat restoration in the Pacific Northwest and Nationwide. We also support
efforts to instill and perpetuate a hunting ethic in our community’s youth.
We organized in 2002 and held our first fund raising banquet in 2003.
Subsequent banquets in following years have provided the means to fund educational opportunities and promote habitat
restoration.
We support the annual Youth Hunt weekend in which youngsters 15 and younger have an opportunity to
hunt for planted birds at Vancouver Lake. Our members are available to accompany
a young hunter who does not have a dog. The ‘old timer’ is able to
give valuable advice and help ensure a successful hunt and a memorable experience.
This year we anticipate habitat projects at the Shillapoo release site and in Eastern Washington.
Our annual banquet is held in the spring each year and offers a pleasant social evening and the opportunity
to bid on hunts, guns, equipment, artwork, and more.
Our chapter offers the opportunity to associate with like-minded men and women who share common interests. We hold regular meetings with programs of interest to the members. Also, we organize outdoor activities that give our members the opportunity to hunt at reasonable expense.
More information on meetings and outings is available on our events page.
Please join us to help preserve the hunting tradition and enrich your own experience.
